Beat moved from Switzerland to the Yukon in 1995. He is a professional photographer and workshop instructor who is constantly pushing the limits of photography. Whether it is low light photography capturing the northern lights, fast action photography capturing eagles and bears or sweeping landscapes of mountains or frozen lakes.

Beat shares his techniques in the field, talks about planning and visualizing an image as well as different techniques in post-processing.

This presentation’s emphasis is on the various elements of nature photography. 

His images and narratives speak their own language. Beat shows us the world he’s living in. You will experience dreamlike autumn landscapes, dancing northern lights or bizarre snow structures, crystal clear starry skies and dramatic black ice. Dramatic light moods, wild perspectives or an aggressive foreground design are typical in his landscape images and videos.

It is his goal to inspire the viewer in a creative way to rethink and to visualize and implement extraordinary images.

Beat believes that the true satisfaction in wildlife photography is a creative process and the ability to connect with an animal. His deep connection with animals is evident in his images and stories.
